Hello, and Welcome to Aneroc.net

My name is Corena, and this site is well all about me and my passions in life. It is still a work in progress as I am designing this site myself.

I am currently Living and working out of Las Vegas, I do travel often though, with monthly visits to Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and New York.

I will try and keep this a short version of how I became to love fashion and costume design. I have been in the entertainment industry since I was a child, the ham I was, I loved to make people laugh. When I was 15 I worked on a project that took place in the late 19th century and I just fell in love with the wardrobe/costume department. I knew then that is what I wanted to do. After High school I did not immediately jump into a design school. I joined the U.S. Air Force to travel the world, and boy did I ever. I loved being in the military and being a part of something that was grander then I was. I served 6 years, then when I got out spent 2 years in the corporate communications world. This entire time I was still designing, making my own cloths and of course Costumes for Halloween. Well one day I decided to live my dream and I gave up my very comfortable corporate job and headed back to school to become that designer I always wanted to be.
I looked at many design schools including the very big well known schools, even applied and got accepted into the Paris Fashion Institute. I choose to stick with a small school in San Diego I visited for I felt at home when I was there, and I always wanted to live in San Diego.

While I was in school I got a paid internship on the set of a TV show, quickly becoming the assistant designer and falling in love with film and TV production all over again. My school was great the classes never exceeded 15 students for production classes and 30 for academic classes. This was perfect the attention we got from the wonderful staff was just an amazing educational experience.

After College I became the assistant Costume Designer for Sea World San Diego, what a wonderful experience, working with shows such as Cirque de la Mer, and designing hundreds of scary sea zombie costumes for sea world's first ever Halloween haunting. After this I moved on back to Los Angeles, to the film industry where I have been ever since mixed in with some private styling and personal shopping. I help many men and women in the business world put together a wardrobe that expresses there personality with the colors that not only look best on them but expresses who they are in their own individual ways. I am currently working on my own line of sexy, but classy, expressive corporate ware for women. I always have to time to help someone with their wardrobe, and am currently working on producing a short film. On a side note not to take away from my designs at all, but I have also developed a love for makeup and special effect makeup.

Thank you, Corena
